Marmite is a brand of concentrated yeast extract paste, originally made in the United Kingdom in 1902, that can be used in soups, Stews and as a spread. The product is notable as a vegan source since it is rich in vitamin B and contains B12 and Folic acid.

Marmite is a sticky, dark brown food paste with a distinctive, powerful savory flavour, that is extremely salty. It is a by-product of beer brewing.
