Soy is very common food for vegans.

The issue of eventual toxins in soy is so controversial, that the contributor does not feel currently authorized or competent to take part for one or the other thesis.
Soy is certainly neither a miracle food nor something to banish, but should be used without excess in a varied diet.
Soy milk is just one of the several existing non dairy milks, and there is plenty of other sources of vegan proteins.
