New York City is a huge metropole and you can find tons of vegan places around there.
New York City is composed of five boroughs, including the most densely populated Manhattan.
Government efforts
In March 2019, Mayor Bill de Blasio, Schools Chancellor Richard A. Carranza, and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams announced all New York City public schools will have Meatless Mondays beginning in the 2019-2020 school year[1].
The program, which was first piloted in 15 schools in Brooklyn in Spring 2018, provides students with healthy, all-vegetarian breakfast and lunch menus every Monday.
