Brussels is much less vegan friendly than one would expect of the capital Belgium and but there are still some nice places to discover.

Vegan restaurants

There is only one vegan restaurant:

  • Den Teepot, Rue des Chartreux 66, Brussels. It's usually open for lunch and organic macro-biotic food is served.

Vegetarian restaurants

  • There's an Egyptian falafel place at Anspach. Probably the tastiest falafel in town. And no meat is served here.
  • Dolma, Chaussee d'Ixelles. Vegetarian buffet in the evening.

Other

There is a squattish place at 123 Rue Royale, you might be able to get vegetarian and vegan food there on Sundays. They go dumpster the food and you can pay whatever you want. The problem is that people are usually smoking inside (even next to people who are eating).
