Veganwiki.info talk:How we want to keep Veganwiki

'''Veganwiki.info''': community project to create the biggest resource for and by vegans and vegetarians under a free license.

I'm not sure about the "no advertising" and "no affiliate" part, which is extremely clear with e.g. Trashwiki and quite clear for Hitchwiki. I would never want to see any annoying ads here or on a mobile version of this project but I'm not sure if less intrusive advertising is necessarily bad. Of course there should be some restrictions to the advertising, such as only animal friendly products and companies. And the money should go towards improving the project, which should happen in the most transparent way possible. For example, if it grows big enough with enough visitors I can see Veganwiki sponsorships by companies that sell vegan food (only) or vegan fake leather shoes and the money can be used for organising something like a Vegan Wiki hackathon or unconference. Anyway, I want this to be a collective project just like the other cool wikis. So... What do you think? Guaka (talk) 23:36, 21 February 2013 (CET)

I think that advertising can be possible and useful in the future, if 1. it is vegan-friendly; 2. it is limited to some extent, i.e. if you look on the screen the advertising should not take larger area than let's say 3-5%. Or smth like that. :) --Sigurdas (talk) 23:51, 21 February 2013 (CET)
Ok, starting an article about this Vegan advertising, as it suits this wiki :) Guaka (talk) 11:20, 17 April 2013 (CEST)
